Cookie Policy
This page describes what the Velvet 101 site keeps in your browser and lets you review your choice at any time. The short version is that the site does not currently load advertising or analytics tools.
What the site stores today
- · One entry in your browser's local storage, named cookie_consent, which records the choice you made in the banner or on this page. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- · Nothing else is set by our own pages. The style sheet and scripts are served from this site, and no advertising, remarketing or analytics service is loaded.
- · The company that hosts the site may keep ordinary server access logs, which are not cookies and are described in the Privacy Policy.
The choices on offer
The banner and the panel below list the usual categories used by Google's consent settings. Today only the first one, essential storage, is in use. The others exist so that your answer is already on record, and will be honoured, should such a tool ever be added.
Categories
- · Advertising storage: would hold data for advertising and remarketing. Not in use.
- · Analytics storage: would hold data used to measure how the site is used. Not in use.
- · Advertising user data: would allow user data to be sent to advertising services. Not in use.
- · Ad personalization: would tailor advertising to you. Not in use.
- · Functionality storage (essential): remembers your choice on this page. In use.
- · Personalization storage: would tailor site content to you. Not in use.
- · Security storage (essential): reserved for protecting the site against misuse. Nothing is stored for it at present.
Review your choice
Your rights
- · You can withdraw a non-essential choice whenever you like with the controls above; the change takes effect straight away.
- · You can ask us what personal data, if any, we hold in connection with your visits, using the details on the Impressum page.
- · Requests about personal data are handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Clearing it yourself
Your browser can block or delete stored data. In most browsers the option sits under privacy or site data settings; removing the Velvet 101 entry resets the banner, and it will ask you again on your next visit to the home page. Blocking storage entirely does not stop you from reading the site or sending an enquiry.
How your choice is recorded
When you press Accept All, Reject All or Save Preferences, the site writes your answer for each category, together with the time you gave it, into the cookie_consent entry in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to our servers when this happens, and we cannot see which option you picked. If you clear the entry, or use a different browser or device, the banner appears again and you can answer afresh.
The two essential categories are always on, because the site cannot remember a refusal without storing it. They cannot be switched off from this page.
Why the categories are listed at all
The categories follow the vocabulary of Google's consent settings, which is a common standard for sites that may later load measurement or advertising tools. We have kept them visible so that you can see the choices that would exist, and so that a refusal made today is still respected if we add a tool in future. None of the non-essential categories has any effect on the pages you see now.
If you reached this site from a search advertisement, the advertisement itself may have been personalised by the search provider under that provider's own settings. That is separate from this site and is controlled in your account settings with the provider.
Cookies and applicant data
Nothing in the site's cookie or storage entries relates to job applicants. Applicant records handled during a client project live in the systems named in that project's written scope, not in your browser, and are covered by the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

If this changes
Should we add an analytics or advertising service, this page will be updated first, and the service will honour the choice recorded here. This version was revised in October 2026.
